4 Tips for Working From Home During The Coronavirus Outbreak
To help stop the spread of infection, let’s encourage employees who are able to work remotely to work from home. Not sure how? Let us help you with a few tips that will help you get your work done and maintain your sanity during this difficult time.
Set up your workspace
Create a dedicated work space, whether it’s a separate room, a small desk set up in a corner of the living room, or a laptop at the end of the kitchen table. Ideally, it would be a place you don’t go to relax, like your bedroom or your couch, and a place that other members of your household know is a designated work space. Just make sure you can sit comfortably for the eight or so hours a day and you’re able to stay focused.
Communicate
Check in with your boss and colleagues from time to time. Update them on your schedule and deliverables, especially if there are any changes. This will help avoid any miscommunication and break up the social isolation that can come from working from home.
Stick to your routine
Wake up early, take a shower and get dressed. This will help get you into the right frame of mind and prepare your mind and body for a productive day of working.
Take breaks
The key is balance. Give yourself enough time during the day to walk away from your computer screen and phone. Move around, take a step back, and don’t forget to clock out at the end of your shift.
